Rufnit Kennels Braque du Bourbonnais - France Visits
2004   2006   2011  2015

France...

I just completed an unbelievable visit with Michel Comte and his family in France.  Michel Comte is responsible for the Braque du Bourbonnais remaining today.  He recreated the Braque du Bourbonnais Club in France.  He was the Club president for 20 years, while continuing his breeder activity.  His name is present on every Braque du Bourbonnais champion's pedigree. Michel Comte is a judge of the Societe Centrale Canine, for confirmation and field trial.  He and his son are tracking the evolution of the breeding's, which enables them to recreate the genealogy of the Braque du Bourbonnais.  I am privileged to be acknowledged as a serious breeder and have his assistance with my breeding program.

During my visit, they held two mock trials in my honor.  I was introduced to many wonderful people and dogs in addition to seeing the beautiful country of France.  Michel Comte and his family made my adventure much more than anyone could have imagined.  I am excited about introducing them to NAVHDA and our local Chapter members during their visit to North America.

Thank you!!

Michel, Monique and Michael, thanks for all of the information, hospitality and sharing your home during my visit.  I appreciate your assistance in providing me with the best tools possible to promote the Braque du Bourbonnais in North America.

Patricia, Jean-Pierre and Olivier, thank you for my additions!  I look forward to the opportunity to incorporate them into my current breeding program.

Another adventure to FRANCE!

Marc Sudret and Yves le Pech welcomed me into their home in Toulouse FRANCE!  Marc Sudret has been actively involved with the Braque du Bourbonnais for over 30 years.  He (du Pech de Cayrol) was the breeder under Francoise Sarret's (Croix Saint Loup) kennel name that placed the first Braque du Bourbonnais in the United States.

Marc has been kind enough to assist me with my breeding program over the past several years.  Making sure we stay on top of health issues that may appear as well as ensuring that the lines I'm working with are "true" to the breed.

Arrangements were made for a meeting with Bernard Garcia of the Club du Braque du Bourbonnais (official breed club in FRANCE).  We were able to discuss the future of the Braque du Bourbonnais in the USA.  Working together to ensure respectable breeders follow the standard and regulations of the CBB.  We will continue our combined efforts, keeping the breed on track...discouraging a division of the breed standard between countries.

The 2011 World Champion was bred and owned by Marc.  Not only is Capy du Pech de Cayrol the 2011 World Champion, but his progeny follow in his foot steps....his son Farenheit du Pech de Cayrol was the 2011 Junior World Champion.  Marc was kind enough to send two of Capy's progeny back to the US with me.  I look forward to being able to add them to my breeding program upon the completion of their evaluations.

The food was outstanding!  Fresh turkey, Italian sausage, salads, vegetables, cheese, wine...and deserts as tasty as they were beautiful!!  Marc was always insisting that they were "lite"! LOL  The country, hospitality and experience was unbelievable!!

Marc, Yves and Bernard, thanks so much for your dedication to the breed and helping me ensure that my breeding program remains superior!!

Thanks for EVERYTHING you've done for me and the Braque du Bourbonnais!!  I look forward to your future visit to the US!!

2015 FRANCE Trip!
Rufnit Kennels is extremely honored to be the only US breeder placing our progeny in other countries...even in the breeds "Parent Country" of FRANCE!!  Marc and Yves have added Rufnit Libbie to their family in FRANCE and we brought Louis du Pech du Cayrol back to the US to join our family!  This is another LARGE step for the breed, putting our efforts together between countries!  One of the best things a breeder can be told:  "I never had a dog so intelligent than her!" by the top Braque du Bourbonnais breeder in FRANCE, Marc Sudret regarding Rufnit Libbie!
